Behind every print on this site, since 1979
— The Story —
Photography, for me, is the visualization of emotions.
A trace of the unheard. A tangible proof of transience. My journey through the world of light has lasted since 1979 — nearly fifty years of looking through the viewfinder, and almost as many spent in the darkroom, watching images emerge in trays of developer.
— The Journey —
A passage through the entire history of the modern medium.
1979
The beginning — film and the darkroom
Mastering the craft of analog photography. Learning to read light, expose film, and watch images emerge in chemical baths. The slow, deliberate work that demands complete dedication — a commitment that remains imprinted on every print.
Early 2000s
The digital era — still in commercial use today
Embracing digital technology as the medium evolved. To this day, digital remains the tool for my commercial work — fast, flexible, indispensable. But in commercial work, the photograph is a means to an end.
A few years ago — today
The return to analog truth
A strong calling back to the roots. What captivates me, in the artistic sense, is the honesty, authenticity, and originality of the analog process. Every print I sell now is captured on film and made by hand in the darkroom — a piece of time, shaped by light and silver.
— Why Gelatin Silver —
I do not sell files. I sell physical objects.
Authenticity
Every print in my collection — macro forms, meditative landscapes, abstract gears — is captured on film and individually handcrafted onto paper. The manual work performed in the darkroom guarantees a unique tonal depth, the richness of black tones, and a permanence that no digital reproduction can achieve.
Uniqueness
I do not sell files — I sell physical objects. The manual control inherent in the darkroom process ensures that no two prints are identical, even within the limited editions. Each one is a slightly different object, with its own tonal weight and surface presence.
“An invitation to slow down. Not just art, but a unique artifact with a soul.”
