Roots of Light – Gelatin Silver Print – Limited Edition 2/10

“Roots of Light” explores the connection between nature and existence through a scene of a tree whose roots emerge from the earth, touching the light. In this black-and-white composition, the contrast between the dark, solid roots and the soft, diffused light in the background becomes a metaphor for the balance between stability and change.

The photograph exudes the quiet strength of nature and recalls the cycle of life, in which everything that grows is simultaneously rooted and free. Each copy is handcrafted using the classic silver gelatin process on Ilford Multigrade RC paper in the darkroom, giving it depth and permanence.
