Bud of Light (Luminous Core) — macro dandelion photograph in a moment of concentration
The macro dandelion photograph Bud of Light does not celebrate dispersal — it celebrates concentration. The dandelion is presented as a layered, almost sculptural form, where every fiber represents gathered energy, ready to explode into life. Handmade as an analog gelatin silver print from the darkroom.
About the photograph
The dense, absolutely black background dramatically emphasises the radiant whiteness and texture of the fibers, transforming the fragile plant into a powerful, luminous bud. This macro dandelion photograph speaks of strength, potential, and the light that endures even in the deepest darkness.
The story of this photograph is not the story of a flower — it is the story of the moment just before transformation. Before the seeds scatter. Before the wind comes. The moment when all energy is still here, gathered, waiting.
The analog process
Shot on classic black-and-white film, with precise use of studio light (Godox) to sculpt and emphasise the density and layering of the fibers. Each print is a unique work created in the darkroom, using the classic Gelatin Silver Print technique.
Hand toning and contrast control ensure that the light at the core of the print is the most intense and striking. This is an organic, tangible art object — not a digital reproduction.
Shipping and framing
The print arrives carefully packaged, mounted with mat, ready for framing. The frame is not included. Acid-free framing with UV-protective glass is recommended for maximum longevity.
A certificate of authenticity is provided with every print.
